About Property Inspections

Earning VRIA's Blue Ribbon Inspection honor is not easy. The designation is available to individual homes, home owner associations, resorts and condominium Complexes. But not all can pass our rigorous test.

Our trained inspectors visit every inch of every property to go go through them top to bottom well before Guests put down your hard earned money to rent.

The inspection includes verification of ownership and insurance, a checklist of requirements including standard plumbing, electrical, lighting, kitchen wares, bathroom furnishings, furniture sufficiency and quality. We even list all amenities such as televisions, stereos, patio furniture and right down to board games. 

Inspectors walk the neighborhood, check the directions and evaluate overall desirability. If the property is in a resort we check for guest rights, hours of operator and customer services.

Most important however is "verification of description." In short, does this home meet the description the owner uses to attract guests?  And in particular, has the owner left out any negatives guests should know about in advance. Is it to adjacent to a noisey highway? Are there problems in the neighborhood?  If so, we try to find and list them.

VRIA Inspectors are not mechanical inspectors or health department inspectors but they do offer a first hand look at each and every home that passes muster and earns the Blue Ribbon.
